Weaver Day School has provided our family with an exceptional opportunity to have our children educated and cared for in a loving and safe environment. We have been fortunate enough to have been a part of the Weaver Day School family since August, 2011 as our eldest entered at the age of nine months and then followed by another child two years later and soon our third child will attend. We are forever grateful to Weaver Day School for providing our family with such loving and trusting teachers. The teachers at Weaver Day School have truly treated our children with love and respect. We have always felt confident that our children were in the very best hands when leaving, even when our children were just babies. The Weaver Day School Oxford Road location is where our oldest child had her first school experience. It was there where she first learned to play and interact with peers. Weaver Day School has a structured schedule that allows for basic needs to be met such as feedings, changes, and naps but also built into the day are opportunities for learning and exploring. We have always been impressed with the daily exposure to music, books, puzzles and toys that promote problem solving skills as well as toys to enhance fine and gross motor skills. Our children have had a great start to their educational careers all due to the trusting and loving relationship that has been established with the Weaver Day School teachers, who we consider just an extension of our family. Once our eldest transitioned to the preschool setting on Little Elk Creek Road, we were delighted to have experienced the same love and compassion as we did in the younger school. We were also very impressed with the enthusiastic attitude of the preschool teachers. It has been such an amazing experience for our daughter to participate in the preschool program and watch her demonstrate confidence with writing her name, letters, numbers and gaining knowledge in many different themed subjects. After the preschool experience, came the transition to the kindergarten program through Weaver Day School. The small class size and individualized programming has been a true privilege for our daughter. Through this program and with Miss Patti’s encouragement and commitment, we have seen our daughter turn a general interest in learning into a thriving thirst for knowledge. She is now a five year old that is confidently reading, completing advanced mathematics and independently writing sentences and short stories. We are so proud of our daughter for her accomplishments, however, we owe many thanks to Miss Patti for her dedication and knowledge of the Kindergarten material as well as advanced materials that she has taught to the kindergarten class. Our daughter is quite proud of the skills she has acquired through the program. This sense of accomplishment has added to a healthy self-esteem and self-confidence that we are seeing her develop. We have also been thrilled with the music and art classes that have been provided to the kindergarten class and the field trips that have provided wholesome, positive experiences that have added to her well rounded development. It’s our pleasure to recommend Weaver Day School to any prospective parent considering infant care, toddler schooling, pre-school 3-4 years and/or Kindergarten for their child. We thank Weaver Day School for the solid foundation of learning that has been instilled in our children. We also thank you for providing a safe and loving environment for our children to grow and develop. We look forward to continuing with Weaver Day School for our upcoming preschooler and infant. Sincerely, Ryan and Jenny Tyler |

Spring 2012
After looking at several day care providers in the greater Oxford area, a friend recommended Weaver Day School. The caring family centered environment and set-up of Weaver won us over immediately. This unique setting provided our daughter, Madeline with a genuine sense of comfort that truly allowed her to thrive. Madeline has attended Weaver Day School since the fall of 2009. As a 3-year old, she started in the Toddler program with Miss Kimmy.Miss Kimmy made learning incredibly enjoyable, providing countless activities for the children to acquire information in many different ways. The structure, routine, and nurture that this program provided greatly contributed Madeline’s continued success in Miss Patti’sPre-K and Kindergarten programs. One of the many positives of Weaver Day School is that our child’s Kindergarten class is small and tightly knit.As an educator, I am overly impressed with the skills and concepts that Madeline is exposed to daily and the challenge and rigor in which they are delivered. It is evident that Miss Patti spends countless hours differentiating lessons for each student and the effort and enthusiasm that is poured into each lesson and unit is shared daily and makes for great dinner time conversation with our daughter.I can say without reservation, our daughter learns something new every day! I cannot say enough positive things about Weaver Day School and the care and education that they have provided daily for my daughter.Madeline’s view of school and learning has been fostered by a staff that understands the needs of the child and the wants of a parent. I would highly recommended Weaver Day School to any parent looking for the appropriate balance of nature and nurture! |

August 2010
Dear Parents, My family has attended Weaver Day School since 2003. My son, age 7, and twins, age 5, have attended the Day Care, Preschool, and Kindergarten programs. One of the most unique and special aspects of Weaver's is the sense of family. It is such a pleasure to send my children to a school that alleviates any worry about their care. I feel the Kindergarten program has provided my child with the academic and social skills to enter 1st grade in public school. My child was provided 1:1 as well as small and large group instruction. Their teacher, Miss Patti, is always available to talk and provides the communication necessary to understand my child's development. She is very knowledgable of current trends in education and applies them to her program. I am very pleased to see differentiated instruction to meet individual needs. Students are engaged learners in the subjects of Reading, Math, Social Studies, Science, Art, Gym, Library, and Computers. The students are also able to attend many field trips that enhance their background knowledge in the areas of science and social studies. The Kindergarten program also follows PA State Standards so the transition in 1st grade is consistent. I feel that Patti understands my children given each individual personality and provides instruction to meet those needs. Patti keeps us informed on a weekly basis through communication either personally or through the newsletter. The newsletter lets me know what they are taught and highlights key points so I can discuss and reinforce the curriculum at home. The report cards are very informative and I am also impressed with the personal narrative that Patti takes the time to write about my child. My son went into 1st grade at Solanco with very strong skills in Reading and Math after his very impressive Kindergarten experience. It is also a pleasure to see the "love of learning" that was nurtured while at Weaver Day School. As a teacher and counselor in education for the past 20 years, I believe my children received academic and social excellence while at Weaver Day School. I am very saddened by the fact that my family will be finished this year at Weaver's. I feel very much a part of the family environment they have created for my children. A friend recommended the program and since then, I have recommended Weaver's to many other families. If you are considering Weaver's Kindergarten program, you have made the right decision. The foundation that is established for your child in Kindergarten is essential to success in subsequent grades. My husband and I feel very fortunate that our children were given the opportunity to be a part of the excellent education in Weaver's Kindergarten program. Respectfully, Michelle Moran Steven Moran |
